White wants out of his GT LOI

The highest rated recruit in Georgia Tech's 2016 recruiting class, Marietta (Ga.) Wheeler HS four-star power forward Romello White says he wants to explore all his options and he will ask new basketball coach Josh Pastner for a release from his LOI that he signed last fall.

"I'm gonna ask for my release, but I'm still going to consider Georgia Tech," White told Jacketsonline Saturday. "

White said that his mother will speak with coach Pastner on Sunday to make the request.

"My mom is going to ask for the release on Sunday," White said.

As the 69th rated player in the country many options could remain for White if he opts to commit elsewhere once granted a release. It would be unusual for Pastner to decline White's request out of his LOI.
